Prior to founding ReFwd, she established Panasonic's first Applied AI team, served as CTO of Sunrun, and was SVP of Commercial Integrations and Global Marketing Technology at Expedia Group, where she applied AI and ML solutions for enterprise-scale outcomes and externalized platform solutions. Sandy previously served as Co-founder and VP Technology at Blokable, a steel-modular housing development company.
Sandy holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rice University, where she regularly lectures for the Master of Engineering Management and Leadership degree program.
When not hard at work, Sandy enjoys playing violin with her string trio, walking her dog DanDan at the Seattle Waterfront Park, or traveling with her husband Andrew.
David has spent two decades on the leading edge of platform shifts — and most of that time convincing teams to make the leap with him. Broadcast to digital, desktop to mobile, cloud to edge, software automation to autonomous agents — every transition came with the same story: resistance, talent gaps, and pressure to move faster than anyone felt ready for.
Most recently, he led AI platform development at Panasonic as VP of AI and Data Systems, Global Applied AI, building edge-first agentic systems across business units that spanned smart mobility to avionics. Before that, he was VP of Engineering at Sunrun, where he oversaw the software and design systems monitoring more than 800,000 solar installations. He arrived at both roles from the creative technology world, having led engineering at R/GA and Droga5 before becoming Executive Director of Technology for North America at AKQA — shaping digital and AI strategy for Nike, Google, and Mayo Clinic.
Along the way, he's scaled engineering organizations past 200 people, founded AI practices, and co-founded a digital product consultancy. He's a named inventor on 4 pending patents in agentic AI, several filed jointly with Sandy.
He's currently fractional CTO at Medlee, which builds decision-support tools that help caregivers and aging families navigate medication safety, home viability, and long-term care planning.
Outside of work, he plays guitar and disappears down musical rabbit holes.
Keath Chan is a technologist, innovator, problem solver, and team leader with over 20 years of technical experience. He most recently ran a Professional Services and forward deploy group at Panasonic's Global Applied AI team, driving AI innovation across multiple business groups in the Panasonic network and consulting teams on how to apply the technology and capture real value without getting lost in jargon. That work builds on a career spanning technical and solution architecture, full technology stack implementation, e-commerce, content management systems, rapid prototyping, data analytics and insights, and multiple development methodologies including Waterfall, Incremental, and Agile. Of those 20 years, 13 were in advertising and marketing and 2 in financial services, delivering process-minded, cutting edge solutions for clients including Century 21 Real Estate, Nike, Chevron, Dannon, and Verizon.
Keath holds a Computer Science degree from Cornell University, where he added a concentration in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering along with coursework in 3D rendering and cognitive studies.
His path into technology began with his first program in QBasic in grade school and his first computer assembled from scratch in middle school, sparked by a Nintendo Game & Watch at age three.
